IMCA Accredited Vessel Inspections (AVI)
Common Marine Inspection (eCMID)
The eCMID (Common Marine Inspection Document) program is an internationally recognized offshore vessel inspection system developed by IMCA to provide a standardized assessment of vessel safety, operational capability, maintenance standards, and management systems. The scheme helps reduce duplication of inspections while providing vessel owners, charterers, and offshore operators with a transparent and consistent assurance process.
eCMID inspections evaluate vessel condition, safety management systems, crew competency, maintenance practices, operational readiness, equipment condition, and compliance across a wide range of offshore vessel types, including DP vessels, offshore support vessels, subsea construction vessels, diving support vessels, survey vessels, LNG-fueled vessels, and other specialist marine assets.
IMCA Accredited Vessel Inspector
IMCA recognizes eCMID reports only when issued through the official eCMID database and completed by a formally accredited Accredited Vessel Inspector (AVI).

DP Assurance & FMEA Support
As an IMCA Accredited Vessel Inspector (AVI) with experience inspecting DP-class vessels, Consult Maritime can provide additional assurance services to support vessel owners, charterers, offshore contractors, and project stakeholders operating in DP environments.
Services may include independent reviews of DP arrangements, FMEA documentation, proving trial records, annual DP trials, operational procedures, maintenance arrangements, crew competency, and vessel readiness assessments. These reviews help identify technical, operational, and procedural risks that may affect DP performance, reliability, and project execution.

Whether reviewing a single vessel or evaluating a fleet acquisition opportunity, Consult Maritime LLC can provide independent technical support to help you understand the condition, risks, and maintenance implications associated with the asset before purchase.
Consult Maritime LLC provides marine surveying services including vessel condition surveys, pre-purchase surveys, on-hire/off-hire surveys, cargo surveys, and bunker quantity/ROB verification across the United States, including East Coast and Gulf ports, supporting owners, charterers, and insurers with structured technical reporting
