Classification and Statutory
We are appointed as exclusive surveyors for Overseas Marine Certification Services OMCS Class to carry out classification and statutory surveys in the United States.
Vessels operating in international waters are required to be subject to various periodical and annual surveys in order to ensure that they are seaworthy throughout their operational life. As a Classification Society and Recognized Organization, OMCS CLASS can carry out Classification surveys and statutory inspections on behalf of different flag administrations in order to verify the compliance with international Conventions and provide a range of guidance on forthcoming legislation and help to reduce the risk of port state control detention.
OMCS Class is duly authorized by several national maritime administrations, such as Panama, Vanuatu, and Barbados, among others to conduct statutory surveys under SOLAS, MARPOL, Load Lines, Tonnage Measurements and other international regulations.
Under 46 CFR 2.45-10, OMCS Class is approved to review, examine, survey, or certify the construction, repair, or alteration of a vessel in the United States.
As appointed surveyors, we carry out classification surveys (annual, intermediate and renewal), statutory survey and certification on behalf OMCS Class beside ISM/ISPS/MLC compliance and certification audits
